Ed has worked in many facets of the television industry since beginning his career in 1988, as a news photographer, sports photographer, local sales executive, and marketing producer. He has won several awards from the SPJ and the Associated Press for his work in television news and sports photojournalism.

Ed moved into education in 2006 as the video production and broadcast journalism teacher at Union High School in Tulsa. He accepted the position of Assistant Professor of Journalism and Broadcasting at Tulsa Community College in February of 2010.

Ed received his Bachelor of Art in Journalism from the University of Oklahoma in 1988 and his Master of Science in Mass Communication from Oklahoma State University in 2007.
